As we look forward to all the exciting things to come in 2020, here’s a quick recap of some of the major accomplishments for the Port and the community this past year. Thank you for your continued support and partnership.Earned a short sea shipping designation – a vital step in reducing congestion on I-5 while continuing to efficiently move freight in the region

Welcomed the arrival of two cranes to support a modernized South Terminal and the next generation of ships and cargo now calling Everett, including parts for the 777X

Opened new public access at Waterfront Place, including Pacific Rim Plaza and splash fountain, the Fisherman’s Harbor esplanade, Guest Dock 5 and Central K-Dock

Welcomed new light industrial businesses and dedicated 1.4 miles of new waterfront trail and several viewpoints at the Port’s Riverside Business Park

Watched the placement of the City of Everett’s Grand Avenue Park Bridge that will soon connect Everett’s downtown core to the waterfront

Acquired the former Kimberly-Clark mill site to restore jobs at the working waterfront and strengthen our economy

Broke ground on the Waterfront Place Apartments by SeaLevel Properties + Gracorp – a project that brings housing to the waterfront for the first time in Everett’s history

Commemorated the 1,000th aerospace barge delivery between the Port of Everett Seaport and Mount Baker Terminal by Brusco Tug & Barge

Celebrated the grand opening of Hotel Indigo + Jetty Bar and Grille – the first private development to open at the Port’s 65-acre mixed-use Waterfront Place development

Earned the prestigious title of 2019 Marina of the Year by Marina Dock Age Magazine
