The new Anisoptera Spa will open its flagship location at the Port of Everett’s Waterfront Place, featuring a variety of spa and relaxation services from massage, facials and nails to float pods, saunas and more!

The new destination spa will join recently announced Rustic Cork Wine Bar at a new building to be constructed at Fisherman’s Harbor. The site is situated next to the new 266-unit Waterfront Place Apartments and Hotel Indigo, just south of the building now under construction to house the new Asian-inspired Fisherman Jack’s restaurant and South Fork Baking Co. opening in late 2022.

“I’m excited for Anisoptera Spa to serve as our anchor tenant for our next building in Fisherman’s Harbor,” Port of Everett CEO Lisa Lefeber said. “We have the largest number of hotel rooms on the waterfront in Snohomish County, and there are no spa or relaxation services in either of those facilities. This really will serve a niche that’s not provided at the waterfront and the city right now.”

Owner Christine Haberthier, along with her business partner and investors Jason and Elizabeth Brooks, developed Anisoptera’s spa services to cater to mind, body and spirit all at once. “Anisoptera” is the scientific word for dragonfly – a symbol of self-realization, transformation, change, and even rebirth.

“The moment we stepped out into fresh air and the sound of the boats and birds infiltrated our senses, we knew this was where we belonged,” Haberthier said. “Our love and appreciation of natural beauty and water combined with the excitement and the sense of community Everett has created made this location a perfect match for us. We are thrilled to be walking on this journey together and look so forward to serving our clients and being a part of such an incredible city.”

The Anisoptera team brings vast spa experience and have curated a unique mix of service offerings. Anisoptera Spa will feature saunas with halotherapy, relaxation rooms, plunge pools, float rooms, a steam room and a sun room. Services include massage, facials, manicures, pedicures, lashes, body scrubs, body wraps, waxing and sugaring.

The team is especially excited to offer couples or group spa experiences at Waterfront Place. Their research shows an interest in a new kind of spa experience, one that emphasizes the social connection that so often has been difficult to find over the last two years.

The Anisoptera team plans to partner with other Port of Everett tenants to offer spa parties, yoga in the parks, spa lunches and monthly specials, and more. There will also be Navy MWR (Morale, Welfare and Recreation) and Navy Wives clubs.

“We are creating a space for everyone to come reconnect with their inner strength, their courage, joy, and their happiness,” Haberthier said. “When you walk into Anisoptera, you can leave the stresses of life at our doorstep and pamper yourself in our relaxing and healing environment. We have been diligently creating a mindful space with unique amenities and options to Snohomish County.”

The destination spa will be the largest of four tenant spaces in a new two-story 10,000-square-foot building overlooking the new Guest Dock 5 and Central Marina. In addition to the Rustic Cork Wine Bar, the Port is targeting a specialty ice cream shop and fitness studio to fill the balance of the building.

Port development partner The Schuster Group will be constructing the building. Construction is slated for 2023.
