The Port of Everett strives to make the waterfront accessible to the community and visitors. More than 50-percent of the Port's land ownership is dedicated to public access, recreation and the environment.

The Port Commission has a policy that allocates two percent of Capital Improvement Projects within shoreline zones for improving access to the waterfront. Since 1988, the Port has invested approximately $18 million on public access improvements.

Public access projects include a walkway extending along the east side of the Port’s shipping terminals, the Jetty Island Dock and more.
